2012 the end of the world?

Is December 21st, 2012 the end of the world? Are we really all gonna die Friday?

I don't think so. The 2012 phenomenon is as Wikipedia says, "The 2012 phenomenon comprises a range of eschatology beliefs according to which cataclysmic or trans formative events will occur on 21 December 2012." Its very surprising to see how gullible people are, but to be honest at one time I too was eerie over the thought of us dying in a few years. According to the Mayan calender people say, we are waiting on an impending doom to fall upon us. People clam all the time different things about this calender, and what I say to this is that people haven't actually fully translated the Mayan scriptures in Mexico. People are just fitting images to different words, but the truth is, we will never completely decipher any of these ancient languages. When ever we think we have found the meaning, a new theory for what it means appears. Some people claim that we are all going to die in a few days from the following:

A solar flare

A massive black hole at the center of our universe
A rouge planet or asteroid heading head on for earth
and countless other theory's...

Nibiru Rouge planet Theory:

To address the rouge planet Apocalypse theory, if there was a planet or other large body headed towards Earth, it would be the brightest thing in the sky at night next to the moon. We would be able to see the body heading towards us in the sky so we wouldn't need to hear the government say that were all gonna die. We would have known that there is a celestial body headed straight towards us, going to wipe us out. Countless NASA Scientist and other astronomers have already stated this.

Solar Flare Theory:

The solar flare theory of an Apocalypse is also just garbage information. Every 10 or so years, the sun finishes a cycle and reaches its solar maximum, which is when the sun reaches its peak in a cycle for solar activity. Well it is true that the sun is reaching its solar maximum, its been happening for as long as the days of earth, so there is no immediate threat. The funny thing is that this year is supposedly the weakest year in a while for the sun, as its peak isn't as high as the year 2002's solar maximum.

Black Hole Theory:

Now for the theory of a black hole at the center of the universe, there is already a supper massive black hole there.
Our solar system and others in the milky way are basically in orbit around it, and we have been ever sense its existed so there is no threat to us from it.

So now that I have put those Apocalypse theory's to rest, I can safely say that I as long as most of the world, will be waking up to see December 22nd.

But wait, what is the real uneasy thing about December 21st?

Honestly I believe that December 21st wont be a good day. Not because we are all going to die (which we are not), but the fact that the probability for suicides, is going to increase greatly because of believers in the Apocalypse who want to be spared the pain of dying the way of these "theorys". Uneasy teens and depressed people could be more likely to commit suicide on the 21st which is a sad thing I wish wouldnt happen, but because of all the scare some people have and commitment to their believes, some people will not change their minds.

So I will be uneasy on the 21st of December for that one reason. But besides that I will be having a great day on Christmas  spending time with family and friends. The way it should be spent!

See you all the 22nd!

The ending of space

Welcome to my blog Space and the Beyond! Ever sense I was 9 I've been fascinated with the great beyond we call space! Where the limits are endless. Truly there has to be an end to space, but what is it like? Seriously, if you think that space ends and there is nothing, try to imagine it. Your probably thinking of some room that's just white, like in the TV shows or you might think its black like when you turn the lights out. The matter of the fact is, we cant imagine nothing. We have been built so that our minds constantly think of something. Just think about this, if we are imagining nothing, and we are seeing something doesn't that cancel itself out? because seeing black or white or anything at all period is something. Truly there must be an ending to space, but we cant imagine it. Its mind boggling to think this, but its true. We cant think of nothing because our brains cant handle "nothing". I don't think well ever find the true ending to space, but I'd love to hear your thoughts!
